We started by welcoming all our new students, whanau and staff to our school with a powhiri led by our senior students. We were so lucky to have two of our year 6 boys speak in Te Reo and they were supported by Whaea Lois.

Finally we celebrated and acknowledged our Support Staff workers as part of International Support Workers Day which officially was on Wednesday 16 May. This day is always promoted by NZEI and is a time where schools can really focus on their teachers aides, office staff and grounds staff and say thanks for their massive contribution to the school.

We also had a number of first year teachers who were graduating from university with their teaching degrees and we presented them with flowers and a teddy!
